| Many hours in the last 30 years have been spent with our canine family pets. Seven years in the local Obedience Club, several years in the local Kennel Club, stewarding at the local dog shows, participating in handling classes and fun matchs.. We have even been in several parades with our pets over the years. So, we are not just a person that went and got a dog, bred it and sold the pups. We just like fooling with dogs, and all the dogs we own are our "special pets". There are no dogs in our kennel that are kennel crazy from staying penned up for long periods of time. Most are leash trained and no dog ever stays in the kennel area 100% of the time. We do have some concrete runs, but do not force any dog to stay on concrete all the time, due to it is very hard on the dogs pads. Our vet comes to our kennel and gives rabies shots and we have each dog on Heartgard Plus, which we go to the Vet once a month and buy. We do give our own shots and use the same brand our Vet does. We also worm with the same wormer used by most Vets. As for the looks of our dogs, we went to great efforts to obtain quality dogs. We did not cut any corners and frequented local and surrounding dog shows so we could be up on the breed standard. We try to make the yearly shows so we may stay abreast of what is showing and how they look. We think disposition is the most important asset a dog has, so we strive for good dispositions in our dogs. If you buy a pup from us you could take the pup thru obedience classes and enter the pup in some trials and probably win some ribbons and this would be good for you and your dog. There is no reason why you could not enter one of our pups in the show ring, who knows you might win a ribbon. Winning a ribbon would be fun for you, but probably not for the dog. This is why we prefer that our pups go to a family environment rather than the show ring. |
